Laura Neville

Hi, my name's Laura and I'm from Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. I've been playing the tin whistle since I was 6, and I also play the flute, the piano, the harp, the banjo, the fiddle and the ukulele. I'm going into my fourth year in B.A in Music in SETU Waterford doing Irish Traditional Music. 

 

I think it's really important to be interested in the tunes that you are learning. I find it hard to learn tunes when they don't feel right, so I think having choice is very important. In my lessons, I will give multiple options of tunes, and then the students can pick one they like.

Most of all, it's important that everyone has fun in their music education, so I will have some fun activities in the lessons too"
